Desempe\u00f1a un papel fundamental en muchos movimientos b\u00e1sicos como hablar, masticar y tragar. Las causas m\u00e1s comunes son apretar y rechinar los dientes (bruxismo). A largo plazo, esta afecci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n puede provocar dolor de cabeza, ac\u00fafenos y dolor de cuello. Algunos pacientes notan que se cansan r\u00e1pidamente al masticar o que no pueden abrir completamente la boca.  <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-22a31b7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"22a31b7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">M\u00e9todos de tratamiento<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c74563e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c74563e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n\t\t\t\t<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1061\" data-end=\"1428\">En el tratamiento de los trastornos de la ATM se prefieren principalmente los m\u00e9todos no quir\u00fargicos. El uso de una placa nocturna puede aliviar los s\u00edntomas al relajar los m\u00fasculos de la mand\u00edbula. Adem\u00e1s, cuando es necesario, se recomiendan relajantes musculares, aplicaciones de fisioterapia, t\u00e9cnicas de control del estr\u00e9s y apoyo psicol\u00f3gico. Si no pueden obtenerse resultados adecuados con estos m\u00e9todos, puede considerarse la posibilidad de aplicar inyecciones de botox o tratamientos intraarticulares.
